The first mobile phone appeared in 1973. April 3, 1973 Cooper made a phone call from a prototype Dyna-Tac.
Motorola Dyna-Tac 8000x was the first model cell phone went on sale in 1983.
April 25, 1989 Motorola released the smallest and lightest phone available at the time - MicroTAC 9800X.
November 10, 1992 Nokia released Nokia 1011 which was the first mass-produced GSM phone. In 1993 IBM and BellSouth created the IBM Simon was the world's first smartphone.
In May 1996 NEC released Mova N103 Hyper was the first commercial mobile phone with customizable ring tones.
The Siemens sell the world first phone with a colour screen ((red, green, blue and white)) - the Siemens S10 - in 1997.
1998. The Nokia 8810 is most notable as being the first mobile phone to have an internal antenna.
1999. The Benefon Esc! - first phone with GPS. The Samsung SPH-M100 (UpRoar) - the first cell phone with MP3 music capabilities. The Nokia 7110 - the first mobile phone with a WAP browser.
The Sharp J-SH04 was the world's first ever phone with a built-in 0.1 megapixel camera in November 2000.
The Ericsson T39 was the first phone with built-in Bluetooth in 2001.
The Motorola A845 was the first dual-mode UMTS/WCDMA phone in 2004.
September 26, 2005 the Palm officially announced Treo 700w - first Windows Mobile-powered smartphone.
The first iPhone was released on June 29, 2007.
The LG Optimus 2X is the world's first smartphone with a dual-core processor. LG debuted the Optimus 2X on December 16, 2010.
2011. HTC EVO 4G is the first 4G capable phone sold in the United States. The Apple iPhone 4S the first to have dual-core processor and two antennas on all previous iPhones. The LG Optimus 3D, or LG Thrill 4G in the USA has been touted as the worlds first full 3D mobile phone.

Nokia N9 Review

Nokia N9 review The Nokia N9 is a smartphone manufactured by Nokia Corporation. The Nokia N9 runs the MeeGo OS. This model, Nokia N 9, was announced by Nokia on 21 June 2011 at the Nokia Connection event in Singapore. This date is considered to be Nokia N9 release date. Smartphone Nokia N9 is expected to transfer to Windows Phone platform in December 2011, but the n9 nokia mobile is the first and singular smartphone from Nokia that runs MeeGo operating system and has Swipe interface. The company has given a priority to its design and interface but not to its technical characteristics for MeeGo Nokia N9. Attention: Nokia N9 will be the last of the OS MeeGo phones. Nokia N9 is released now in following colors: magenta, cyan and black. The AMOLED screen N9 is covered by scratch-resistant glass. The Nokia N9 has ghtly less than 4 inches capacitive touchscreen with high resolution; the back Nokia N9 camera has 8.7 megapixel and has an autofocus feature. Nokia N 9 has Dual LED and a 4 x digital zoom for both video and camera. Most Nokia N9 reviews: N9 could be a bestseller. At present the Nokia N 9 price at the EBAY varies from $845 to $999.
